Creative Direction

As Creative Director, I lead creative strategy, editorial visuals, UX design, branding and social design. My passion is inspiring creative teams to innovate and surprise audiences.

Creative Win: After introducing authentic images into paid media design, we increased  conversions 25%. It directly increased revenue for the California and Money is Tight campaigns.

UX Design

Results: New landing pages driving readers to the highest performing content increased readership and time on site.

ResultsAn innovative circular fly-in for newsletter subscriptions increased sign-ups 245%, driving total subscriptions over 1.2 million.

In Denver, our team was recognized with the Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the Aurora Theater Shooting.

The visuals team spent a year following stories of injury and death in the oil and gas fields of Colorado, receiving Emmy Awards for Public Service and Overall Excellence.

The Denver Post Visuals Team spent a year following oil and gas worker accidents in Colorado. Lack of oversight left many accidents undocumented. The project was recognized with the Emmy Awards for Overall Excellence and Community Service.

Since the sudden rise of AI, I’ve been testing different platforms, including Adobe’s Firefly and Copilot.  

For creatives, AI presents many challenges for the future. It’s not going away and for that reason it’s important to learn more in order to influence ethical guidelines and policy.
