As Creative Director for Clearlink, I led a team at The Penny Hoarder, the largest personal finance site with an audience of over 6M readers. Our projects included new vertical landing pages built for mobile to help drive more traffic to our most popular content.

SOCIAL ADS

Social ads can drive millions to affiliate links within articles. A six-month project for the monetize team, we creating 350 ad variations and gathering data. The goal was to identify the top performing posts and see what made them perform well. The big winner were the ad campaigns on Pinterest.

RESULTS: Authenticity works best here. These posts gain momentum over time. We saw a 26% increase in performance.

Organic Subscription Increase

AUDIENCE GROWTH

CHALLENGE: A drop in organic newsletter subscriptions.

PROJECT: Organic subscribers have a higher level of engagement. Design a new  sign-up that increases organic subscriptions.

RESULT:  A mobile dynamic fly-in in the shape of a circle. We saw an Immediate increase in newsletter signups as a result.

MY ROLE: I developed the idea of the round shape. A penny being part of our logo, the shape adds energy The audience team tested and saw improved results. Original design by Maria Averion. It was a collaborative team effort that contributed to audience growth.
